Our Mission
To manage, protect and sustain the groundwater resources of the basin in Sacramento County north of the American River consistent with the Water Forum Agreement for the benefit of the water users within the basin, and to coordinate with other water management entities and activities throughout the region.

Groundwater Management Plan
SGA adopted its Groundwater Management Plan on December 11, 2003. The plan is an essential tool for ensuring the viability of the groundwater resource while supporting the objectives of the Sacramento Water Forum Agreement.



Banking and Exchange Pilot Studies
SGA members participated in two pilot studies to bank and exchange water to demonstrate the viability of conjunctive use opportunities within the basin.
